# VCT Floor Restoration
Most clients will have Vinyl Composite Tile (VCT) in many of the areas. At some point it will need to be restored to a brand new look. If you learn the skills to restore various floor types your business will become very profitable.
VCT is the most popular floor choice for most offices and buildings. The problem with this flooring type is that it requires a lot of maintenance. If it is not properly maintained it will need to be restored. It typically has 3 to 4 coats of finish on it that require daily mopping and frequent burnishing.
# Top Scrub & Refinish
Depending on the traffic the floor may last 3 months before daily maintenance is no longer keeping the floor soil free. If this is seen early on it will only need to be top scrubbed and refinished. This process involves taking first layer or two of finish off and refinishing with one or two coats of finish finish.
Pricing: $.20 - $.30 per SQFT (will vary depending on your local market)
# Strip & Refinish
The typical floor will need to be stripped and refinished once a year. If the maintenance has been neglected it will be needed a lot sooner. This process involves removing all the coats of finish and refinishing with 4 coats of floor finish.
Pricing: $.35 - $.45 per SQFT (will vary depending on your local market)
